1st Topcliffe Scout Group
Squirrels is the first and youngest section of our Scouting Family. First opened in September 2021; we are currently the only Drey in Ripon and District.
Easily recognised by their bright red sweatshirts, Squirrels enjoy making friends, hearing stories, playing games, learning skills and going on adventures.
Young people can join Squirrels from their 4th birthday; and can then move up to Beavers when they are 6 years old.
Our Squirrel Drey meets on Tuesdays, 5pm-6pm in Topcliffe and Asenby Village Hall.
A group of Squirrrels is called a Drey.
When you join Squirrels, you make a Promise. The Promise for Squirrels is:
'I promise to do my best, to be kind and helpful, and to love God'*
Squirrels work towards the Chief Scout Acorn Award. This is made up of 4 Challenges and a minimum of 2 activity badges. The Challenge awards for Squirrels are: All About Me Challenge, All Adventure Challenge, All Around Us Challenge and All Together Challenge.
