1st Topcliffe Scout Group

Cubs is the third section of our Scouting Family here at 1st Topcliffe and follows on on from Beavers. You do not need to have been in a previous section - anyone aged between 8 and 10 years old who wants to have adventures, learn new skills, expand their friendship circle and maybe even earn some badges along the way are encouraged to join us.

Young people can join Cubs in the three months leading up to their 8th birthday, and can move on to Scouts between their 10th and 11th birthdays.

Our Cub Pack meets on Wednesdays, 6.45pm-8pm in Topcliffe and Asenby Village Hall.

A group of Cubs is called a Pack
Their leader is traditionally known as Akela, after the wise wolf in the Jungle book.

A Cub Pack is made up of up to six Sixes - at 1st Topcliffe our sixes are Red, Orange, Green and Blue. Each Six has up to six Cubs - one of whom is the Sixer.

When you join Cubs, you make a Promise. The Promise for Cubs is:
